employME.com set to offer free search engine
Thursday 24th September 2009By Sam Collins
EmployME.com is to re-launch on October 1, by offering employers a free search engine.
The site specialises in filling temporary and part-time posts only, across industries including hospitality and service sectors.
Managing Director Gary Burnett said: "The success of employME.com lies in the fact that it’s now free to anyone who wishes to use it.
"Many companies are cutting their marketing and advertising budgets, making them less likely to spend a great deal in finding the right candidate for a job.
"For this reason, they’re missing a golden opportunity to get the applicant they really want - a cycle that employME.com is now there to break by allowing employers or recruitment agencies to advertise part-time vacancies free on this website.
"As unemployment figures steadily rise, more people are seizing the opportunity to try something completely different. EmployME.com is a necessary solution, as it caters to those looking for something that’s short term, until they find their feet. It also allows part-time workers to perhaps explore the prospect of getting back to further education to train for a new career."

End of beginning as downturn slows slightly
The seasonally-adjusted CIPS/Markit Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) rose to 42.9 in April from 39.1 the previous month, but was lower than last year’s figure of 49.7. Despite remaining below the neutral 50.0 mark (a figure less than 50 indicates a contraction) for the 13th month running, the PMI moved further from February’s joint survey record low.
