JobServe makes appointments to global sales team
Tuesday 28th July 2009By Sam Collins
A number of new appointments to its global sales team have been announced by JobServe. The company said they formed part of its rapid growth plan to service its customers with global requirements.
Teams to service global customers have been set up in each region, headed by experienced sales executives. JobServe said this move reflected its continued drive to establish itself as a leading Job Board provider internationally and part of the company's strategy to capitalise on the strong demand for quality recruitment solutions around the world.
Wendy Cowell, JobServe’s Global Online Sales & Business Development manager said: "Our Global customers demand a service that is consistent across their international operations and can be controlled both at the local and Head Office levels.
"We are seeing more and more often the Head Offices of large recruiters measuring the ROI on their spend with Job Boards, and demanding consistent performance statistics on each office to compare their various branches’ performance.
"The Head Offices of these major Global accounts want to know what’s going on in each market and expect us to keep them informed.
"Our aim is to have a presence in every market in which our major customers operate and we will be rolling out more local job boards to meet our customers’ needs."
The European team headed by Tom Williams has recently recruited German Elmar Enders to help expansion.
In the US, Lori Walker; in Canada, Nicole Anderson, and in Asia, Myles Clark all have responsibility for the global customers in their regions.
In addition, Dorota Dopierala will shortly be joining the Australasia team.

End of beginning as downturn slows slightly
The seasonally-adjusted CIPS/Markit Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) rose to 42.9 in April from 39.1 the previous month, but was lower than last year’s figure of 49.7. Despite remaining below the neutral 50.0 mark (a figure less than 50 indicates a contraction) for the 13th month running, the PMI moved further from February’s joint survey record low.
